William Robert Bright (1884-1955)
Memorial Services June 1 For W.R. Bright
Memorial services were held for W.R. Bright, 70, at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, in the Sheets Funeral home, with Rev. E.L. Worley officiating.Mr. Bright died suddenly at his home here on May 28. For the past ten years he was an employee of the Monon Railroad. Railroading was his lifetime occupation.
William Robert Bright was born in Kentucky, June 8, 1884, the son of Robert and Elizabeth Bright. On December 24, 1915, he married Lillie May Bean of Kentucky, and they were the parents of four sons. One died at birth.
The Brights moved to Illinois about 35 years ago, and in 1929 came to this vicinity.
Surviving with his wife, Lillie are three sons, Raymond, who is stationed in Korea with the U.S. Army, Murland of Griffith, and Mainard of Lowell; also five grandchildren, and two brothers, Samuel of Cameloville, Ky., and Travis of San Jose, Ill., besides many other relatives, friends, and neighbors.
Interment was in the Lowell cemetery.
