August Hadders
- March 20th being the birthday anniversary of August Hadders, several friends called to remind him of the event. Mr. Hadders, having caught a glimpse of a birthday cake, refused to be surprised. A pleasant time was had by all in playing games and visiting. A dainty lunch was served, after which the guests departed wishing Mr. Hadders many happy returns of the day.
Those present were: Messrs and Mesdames Archie Doty, Wm. Oltrogge, Herman Eilerman, August Guritz, Herman Baxter, Henry Graves, Louis Paulsen, August Hadders; Misses Helen and Grace Eilerman, Violet and Esther Paulsen, Mabel and Madeline Stadt, June and Cleo Baxter, Irene and Velma Hadders, Naomi Graves, Alice Oltrogge, Nelda, Evelyn and Delia Doty; Messrs Harry Bredemier. Ed Eilerman, Elmer, Wilmer and Harry Paulsen, Alvie Hadders.
The following August 3, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 4, column 3:
- Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. August Hadders were Sgt. and Mrs. John Baker, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Baxter, Betty Baxter, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bahr and Janice, and Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Kingery.
The following article was found in the Feb. 10, 1949, Lowell Tribune on page 1, column 6:
CELEBRATE THIRTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. August Hadders celebrated their thirtieth wedding anniversary Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bahr. Fifteen members of the family had dinner with them.Mr and Mrs. Hadders received many good wishes in the form of cards, flowers and gifts in honor of the occasion.
