Henry Everett Worley (1895-1977)
This article from an unknown source was found in the Local History Files at the Lowell Public Library (LH--Vital Statistics, vol. 3, page 1):
- Henry Worley, age 82, of Gulfport, Mississippi, formerly of Lowell, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 1977 in Veteran's Hospital, Biloxi, Miss. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Eva Kile Worley of Gulfport; six sisters, Mrs. Della Molenaar, Mrs. Sadie Spencer, Mrs. Rose Etzel, Mrs. Violet Mott, Mrs. Mary Reed, and Mrs. Myrtle Call, all of Lowell; one brother Harry Worley, of Chicago, Ill. Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 21 at Riemann Funeral Home in Gulfport with burial in Gulfport.
- Mr. Worley was a son of John and Tina Uhter Worley, who were among the early residents of this area.
- Henry grew up here, attended Lowell area schools, and he and his wife made their home here for many years.
- Over forty years ago they moved to Gulfport, Miss. where they have since resided.
- He was a veteran of World War I.
