23 NAMES ARE ADDED TO HONOR ROLL SINCE SEPT. 5

48 OF 590 LOCAL BOYS KILLED, WOUNDED, MISSING OR PRISONERS OF WAR

    According to a check-up made by F.W. Minninger last week, the following names of local boys have been added to the community honor roll here since last Labor Day:
    With 590 boys and girls now in service, this community has suffered unusually heavy casualties in proportion to population, the complete list now reading: 12 killed in action, 25 wounded in action, 8 missing in action, and 3 are prisoners of war.
    Names of all casualties to-date are:
    Killed in Action
    Wounded
    Missing
    Prisoners of War (Germany)
    * Added to casualty list after the Memorial was dedicated last Labor Day.

An additional article in the following week's Lowell Tribune, dated March 22, 1945, added a few more names to the Honor Roll list. This article was found on page 1, column 2:

    In endeavoring to bring the names on the Community Honor Roll up to date as of last week, it has been brought to our attention that the following were omitted:
